Engineering Business Group (GLJ2019)
Long Trading History
For over 40 years, the businesses of this Engineering Group have provided excellence in engineering services to a wide range of industrial customers in the sectors of Chemical and Petro Chemical, Gas, Cable, Mining, Steel & Reinforcing Manufacturing industries throughout Australia.
These businesses are part of a family company where the owners take exceptional pride in the quality of their manufactured products and the service they provide to their many customers.
This pride is demonstrated by the commitment to continual professional development by staff members, some having over 20 years’ service with the group.
Part of this Engineering Group utilises specialised machining plant to produce parts as sub-assembly components through to fully complete manufacturing installations, as well as offering customers project management services for R&D projects in engineering.
The other trading part of this Engineering Group utilises CNC lathes, CAD/CAM systems, vertical and conventional machining plant to manufacture both custom-designed and standard production parts for its customers.
The companies in this group are all profitable, stable and mature. In the last two financial years, the group has produced an EBIT to sales ratio exceeding 25% on the sales revenue of around $4.5 million. The forecast for the current financial year will see revenues increase to approximately $4.6 million with a further escalation in net profits.
Even with the Covid-19 restrictions, the business has not only resisted a downturn in revenue it has actually benefited from government spending on economic stimulus and national infrastructure. Revenues for the current financial year are the strongest they have been and are forecast to go against the trend and increase in economic conditions that have negatively impacted many other businesses.
As the Australian economy rebounds, demand is expected to remain strong for the industrial products of this company. There are no signs that the engineering industry is contracting and with a broad and diversified customer base, this Engineering Group can expect steady sustained growth to continue well into the future.
The key strengths of this business lie in its proven history, its established place in the engineering industry and the diversity of business and industry sectors that it services.
After 40 years, the owners wish to retire, and placing these businesses on the market for an outright sale is part of that succession plan.
