I, Chris Simpson and my colleague Graham Jorgensen are leading business Brokers with Wollermann Corporate Brokers. We have been appointed to sell this long-established business that imports and distributes clothing apparel, footwear and accessories to the Australian market.
The company was among the early pioneers in the 1990’s of sourcing clothing, footwear and related products from China, just as the Chinese economy was gaining momentum on the global stage. From the outset, this business focused on cultivating strong, reliable relationships with their customers and their aligned Chinese manufacturers—a foundational principle that continues to guide its operations today.
Today, the business provides a diverse product portfolio that includes traditional undergarments, footwear, safety wear for tradespeople and similar sub-sectors, children’s school uniforms, sportswear, hi-vis workwear, protective clothing, and specialised socks for work boots.
The business has diversified into emerging niche markets. These include Government sponsored clothing, convenience stores, service stations, and truck stops—segments that have shown promising growth and potential for long-term value creation.
These markets have been performing well and represent an emerging opportunity to become the preferred supplier with a range of unique products to specialty niches that are beyond the traditional retailers.
As at the 30 June 2025 the business has the following key operating information:
• Gross sales of approximately $3.4 million.
• Gross Margin moving forward of approximately 44%
• Proprietary Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (PEBITDA) at approximately $950,000
• Imputation Credit $1.4 million
• Accumulated tax losses of $950,000
The business, including all its assets and goodwill, is now offered for sale at $1,500,000 plus Stock at Valuation or by negotiation.
